Catalyst's Regional Workshops

With the aim of bringing together policy makers and practitioners, researchers and Think Tank Members, the partners of the EU-funded CATALYST project organized four Regional Workshops that were held in Bari (Italy), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Montego Bay (Jamaica) and Bangkok (Thailand) between September 2012 and January 2013. Hosting countries were representative of the four regions that the project examines. An average of 25 participants attended each workshop. "We were very satisfied with the workshops", was the organizers’ final comment. "They provided the Think Tank Members with two-three good days of discussion and exchange on challenges, state-of-the-art and best practices in disaster risk reduction and adaptation in their regions". read more
